CurzonTrinitas Ltd is a top level, retained Executive Search Firm working with clients across the infrastructure and energy sectors.  Established 20 years ago and based on St James’s Square in Central London, the company has 14 professional staff including seven partners, consultants, and researchers as well as a Finance Manager and support staff.  The firm works to identify, attract and assess senior executives for a wide range of loyal clients ranging from major, international corporations, banks and investors through to small start-ups.  The firm has a fun, relaxed culture, but a total commitment to efficiency and professionalism in all that it does as well as a belief in creativity over process.

The Infrastructure Practice works on an exclusively retained basis across the sector, covering Transport, Utilities, Energy Infrastructure and PPP & Social Infrastructure markets – both greenfield and brown – on a 360-degree basis. Our job is to know everything relevant about the people who matter in our field; the professionals who invest in, advise on, finance, manage and develop the utilities, resources, transportation, energy and social assets that our clients strive to bring into being.  We also recruit Advisory Boards and Chairs/NEDs for investee businesses and special purpose vehicles.

The vast majority of our work is at the most senior level – at Director level and above – although we deliberately, using the same search methodology, service our clients’ needs at more junior levels as demand dictates.

THE ROLE

Working directly for and with the three Partners who lead the infrastructure practice as well as the two Directors who also lead transactions, you will be the principal researcher for the team and, as such, will have a broad involvement in all of its work. You will use all available methodologies to generate target candidates for our searches; desk and internet research, the use of our database and, most importantly, through the sourcing of recommendations from our extensive network in the market.

You will be an advocate for the firm in all that you do and will develop a network across the industry which will enable you to be proactive in generating candidate ideas for our searches. From the outset, your role will be client facing and you will have the full support of the Partners to forge your own relationships to develop your career in executive search with the firm in due course.

You will proactively network around the market, attend industry events – conferences, dinners and the like – and rapidly become known as a leader in your field. Ultimately you will develop your own brand as a go-to researcher in the sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

You will be a graduate and will ideally bring at least one or two years’ experience of research in an executive search/retained recruitment environment although we may also consider exceptional graduates keen to take their first step in executive search.  In an ideal world, your experience will have been gained in a relevant industry sector – banking, financial services or private equity although more important than the sector in which you have operated is a genuine desire to pursue a career in research.

You will have a strong intellect and be able to learn quickly and show versatility in your thinking.  In short-order, you will need to grasp and articulate the complexities of the global infrastructure market to a broad audience – from the most senior heads of businesses through to those at the beginning of their careers – as well as understanding the nuances of candidates within the component parts of the sector – from financial services through to the corporate sector. You will be committed researcher; driven by a genuine interest in the sector and with a desire to ‘get under the skin’ of our market and deliver outstanding service to a sophisticated client base.

CurzonTrinitas is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Marlowe as a Director in the Infrastructure Practice.

Paul has 10 years’ experience as a recruiter of senior finance professionals, most recently with an exclusive focus on the infrastructure sector. Paul has worked with some of the leading advisors, investors and developers in the space, and, before joining CurzonTrinitas, he led the infrastructure practice for another large, international search firm. Paul focuses across the spectrum of both junior and senior searches for the Infrastructure Practice, particularly within the buy and sell-side communities.

CurzonTrinitas is delighted to announce the appointment of Robbie Paterson as a Partner of the firm.

Prior to joining CurzonTrinitas, Robbie Paterson served as Partner at Korn Ferry where he led the successful placement of CEOs, MDs and other C-suite roles for many well-known businesses across the renewable energy, utilities and infrastructure sectors in the UK and internationally. His experience includes extensive work in the Middle and Far East, Australasia, North America and Continental Europe.

Managing Partner, Jane Christopherson, expressed the importance of his appointment in broadening the scope of sector coverage within CurzonTrinitas and commented: “Robbie brings with him a wealth of expertise working at the highest levels within power, utilities and renewables, which complements our established footprint in the energy and infrastructure sectors.”

Prior to his search career, Robbie Paterson spent six years at Bain & Company where he advised on a diverse range of assignments across a wide variety of industries, including energy, for many FTSE 100/Fortune 500 firms. He began his career at Exeter Venture Partners, a New York-based private equity firm specializing in mezzanine co-financing of small to medium-sized enterprises in North America.
